Installing your Fighters Garage Evo lower intercooler pipe

Step 1.
Remove the cooling undertray that runs under the engine. To remove the screw-type push pins you simply apply very light pressure to the phillips screws and they should back out. If you unscrew them too much, the screw will fall out of its retainer.

Step 2.
Remove the 2 bolts and 2 push tabs from the radiator support.

Step 3.

Remove the 2 push screws and 1 bolt from each front fender liner.
You might need to push on the plastic screw from behind to make it come out.

Step 4.
Remove the 2 bolts in the corner of the bumper inlet. Also, remove the rubber line that runs to the intercooler sprayer nozzle. You should now be able to remove your front bumper. It helps to have 2 people remove it so that the bumper is not stressed on one side as you remove the other side.

Step 5.
Undo the two 12mm bolts and two hose clamps for your stock lower intercooler pipe and remove the pipe, leaving the
rubber coupler on your intercooler. Transfer the three hose clamps from your stock lower pipe to the Fighters pipe. You will simply reuse the stock clamps, using two on the blue coupler and one by the intercooler side like the picture shown below.

Step 6.
Install the new Fighters pipe with either the silicone coupler already attached, or attach the coupler to the turbo outlet. We found it easiest to put the intercooler side partly into its rubber coupler, then work the turbo side into its coupler. It is difficult
to do one side completely and tighten the hose clamps, and then do the other side, but it can be done. Now, angle the pipe
so the intercooler's 180 degree bend is flat(parallel to the ground), or as high as possible, and tighten all your hose clamps.
If sitting, it is easy to hold the 180 degree part of the pipe with your knee and tighten the hose clamps to hold it in place.
It should be flat or parallel like the picture shown below. Now, simply ziptie the hanging a/c line to the side so that it does not rub on the pipe.

Step 7.
Reinstall bumper. It is simply the reverse of removing it. It helps to have 2 people so that you can line the bumper up with ease.

Step 8.
Race people and win. :o)
