RX-7 Fighters MBK Install
1)
Remove stock battery lid and surround if so equipped.
2)
Loosen battery tie down and remove if so equipped.
3)
Loosen battery terminals and disconnect them from the battery.
4)
Remove stock battery and set aside.

5)
Use a 10mm socket to remove the 4 mounting bolts for the stock
battery tray. These bolts are usually rusty because water collects
in the tray. Spray the bolts with a pentrating lubricant to
ease removal.

6)
You will be left with this picture. The mounting points used
for the Fighters MBK are the two upper left ones from the previous
picture. In this picture, they are the hole on the 90 degree
stock bracket going over the oil cooler line and the other point
is the left most hole.

7)
Set the MBK tray on the frame rail and align the two holes with
the stock mounting points. Spray the threads of your new stainless
bolts with penetrating lubricant to ease install. Tighten the
bolts gradually, going from one bolt back to the other until
the mount is equally torqued between the two of them. This method
will help to make sure that the bolts are torqued equally.
8)
Slide battery into bracket. Feed heavyweight strap through the
slit, under the mount, and around the top of the battery. Tighten
strap. Connect battery terminals.
